Λ M.O.U.T SIMOPS Λ
I had been stewing up some ideas the past few months after getting into Special Op’s Mission thinking how awesome it would be if airsoft games could be as interesting as what they do. Jay from Team CAM called me yesterday and said they just had a game on a new field where they had an objective but did not know the terrain nor who they were up against once they got there. The other team also did not know who was coming, from where or when. There is a new plan for regular scheduled games in 2011 with some trial runs planned for the fall. MOUT will act as a third party dispatch for our new SIMOPS format. Teams will need to be registered with MOUT to get dispatched to an unknown hostile environment. We will have a rotation of existing locations as well as new fields and facilities that will be sourced out for a one-off and regular use. The information will be provided to each team by the third party umbrella and will be expected to keep all issued information classified. This means you cant accidentally slip out ‘ah man sorry I cant play this weekend, I have SIMOP to attend.’ because that can compromise the integrity of the event. The issuer will have a number of objectives, and props at their disposal to create and issue objectives for each team from things as simple as defend and find to both teams finding different objectives etc… The plan now is to have the third party also dispatch a working team to administrate the game. This will get a mandatory rotation of each team doing their share of the seasons work overseeing an event. The projection now is to run one event a month and each team will have this duty once a year depending on the number of teams registered with MOUT. As always the groups associated with MOUT are pushing the game of airsoft to new levels and we are confident that this will be a positive direction for like minded individuals. It will run on a K.I.S.S premise with a simple Red vs Blue environment. watch http://www.operationcoldfront.com for upcoming details.
